Space Shuttle: Enterprise in NYC
The space shuttle Enterprise arrived in New York City on Friday, April 27th. That morning the craft zoomed around the city, riding piggyback on top of a jumbo jet. As the shuttle passed through Manhattan, people gathered along piers, and rooftops with camera’s ready to get their first glimpse of the famous prototype.
It flew all over the city; making sure to include such landmarks as the Statue of Liberty, while it also glide along the Hudson River, past the Intrepid Sea, Air, and Space Museum where the shuttle will be housed and ready for viewing this summer!
