Christmas Can Be Costly

The Chanel Luxe series from Assouline is now available to buy may be priced at a steep $750 but that’s a small price to pay for the coffee table crazed as the new must have interior piece.

The luxe slipcase is made of genuine black quilted leather and adorned with a metal Chanel logo. Inside are three editions: Chanel Fashion, Chanel Fine Jewelry, and Chanel Perfume. Each book has 80 pages with 60 images.

The sleeve for the three books alone is as covetable as an actual Chanel bag and just like anything Chanel there is a waiting list for this gorgeous piece of fashion paraphernalia!

Men, if your lady carries a Chanel bag or drools over one every time you walk past the store, this might just be your perfect Christmas gift for her!

Paris Fashion Week- Fantasyland Wrap Up

“Instead of offering the sporty chic of New York, the catwalks of this year’s Paris Fashion Week rivaled the scenery and storyline of a child’s fantasy storybook. Typically the more traditional of the big four international fashion weeks, this week designers opted to move away from the seriousness and toward playful, mystical shows. The Mecca of high-drama couture inspired styles certainly did not disappoint, providing the grand finale after the month-long unveiling of next season’s fashions around the world. On Wednesday, Paris Fashion Week ended like it started with a relaxed spirit and a skillful bow by designer Elie Saab with a glamorous 1970s collection for next summer inspired by the TV series Charlie’s Angels.

Chanel Spring/Summer 2012

Valentino, Lanvin and Christian Dior made much use of feather-light, flowing materials such as organza, tulle and silk to make dresses look weightless. At Chanel nearly every single model was covered in pearls, not only as jewelry pieces, but also as closures, belts, and hair adornments to complement the slick, wet hairstyles of the models. Chanel as well used sea colors such as coral and turquoise that dominated the palette and other brands like Emanuel Ungaro. Overall, fashion critics said Paris Fashion Week was so infused with positive energy, it was hard to believe a global crisis was brewing.”
